About

The Déja A. Coley Scholarship is a motivation-based scholarship established in 2021 to cherish our founder who has dedicated her life to helping so many people recognize their worth. The scholarship’s purpose is to increase accessibility  of our Know Your Worth program to teen girls struggling with self-worth regardless of financial stability and to encourage mental and emotional strength. The recipients of the scholarship will be girls who best demonstrate the most ambition toward their self-worth journey.

Award Details

Recipients will receive free enrollment into Know Your Worth for 1 session.

Renewal

Recipients must meet fundraising goal of enrollment-fee.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be 11-17 years old

Selection Criteria

Submit a video application answering one of the following prompts:

  • What are three things that are special and unique about you?
  • List three ways that you make life better for the people you care about.
  • Write about someone that has been a positive influence in your life. What have you learned from this person? How have they made you a better person?

Video Guidelines

    • Must be a minimum of one minute long but no more than three minutes long.

    Applicants will receive mailed letter notification of their scholarship status by August 13, 2022.

    Can I still join the KYW program if I'm not selected for this scholarship?

    Of course! You can still apply to this program without the scholarship!

    How will I know if I got the scholarship?

    Your notification will be emailed to you, it will also be mailed along with the membership notification.

    When will I hear back from GLM?

    We will send out the results of your submission by August 13th, 2022.

    I submitted my video, now what?

    After you submitted your video, all you have to do is wait for the results to come out. It should take around 1-2 weeks after the submission deadline.

    How do I know if I submitted my video?

    Once you submit your video, the next page you see should be a success page telling you that you have successfully submitted your video to our scholarship application. After, you should receive a confirmation email to the email you provided us with.
